Dewey Readmore Books

I have said it before on this blog and I will say it again. I am not a crazy cat lady. I just so happen to really like them, that's all.

I just finished reading the true story, 'Dewey,' of a small-town library who, on the coldest winter morning, find a baby kitten in their metal book drop box, nearly frozen to death. The cat, Dewey Readmore Books, ends up living in the library for the next nineteen years and helps change the town of Spencer, Iowa and truly touches the world.

If you love cats, this book is truly a must read. I was crying so hysterically at the end that I had to leave my poolside chair and retreat back to my apartment to finish off the last few pages. Such a touching story!

If you're illiterate, you can watch this YouTube video below which basically sums up the story.

I will end this post with a great quote from the last chapter of the book.

"Find your place. Be happy with what you have. Treat everyone well. Live a good life. It isn't about material things; it's about love. And you can never anticipate love." - Vicki Myron, Author
